Unapp was an ambitious productivity platform built around a novel interaction model — a technically complex product that pushed the boundaries of what was achievable on mobile in 2019.

The challenge. Building a genuinely novel product interaction with no established patterns to follow. Every architecture decision was a first-principles call. The product had to feel effortless in the hand while running a complex multi-service backend underneath.

What we shipped. Full iOS build with complex real-time sync, a custom interaction model with no direct precedent, and a multi-service backend designed for the demands of the product. The launch happened on schedule, to strong early traction.

The outcome. A technically accomplished product that demonstrated what’s possible when senior engineering judgement is applied to a genuinely novel interaction model. Covid disrupted the market before the product could scale — but the build proved the approach.
